Office Manager - Cindy

"SHE’s back!! And we will be forever grateful to the universe for once again providing us with the most awesome chiropractic office manager . . . . in the world, bar none. This lady wrote the book on patient protocols, front desk systems, loss prevention and clerical backup, etc., etc. She has been intimately involved in all aspects of chiropractic care for over 25 years – that in itself, is a tremendous plus for this clinic because there is nothing she hasn’t seen or had to deal with before. Simply put - her smile is contagious, her empathy towards patients knows no bounds & she has all the answers. We are truly blessed!!

"Hi, I’m Cindy. I know . . . . . I must love this place, because I just can’t seem to stay away. Oh well, it seems to me that this is as close to a working home as I’m going to get, so I’ll give it my best . . . again! This office has set the standard in chiropractic care for the Sarnia/Pt Edward community for over 30 years and I know it will only get better. We have far more experience than any chiropractic office in this area, so put us to the test why don’t you."

My Hobbies & Activities: "I don’t really have any hobbies, but I do have 2 lovely Siamese cats who love me unconditionally and keep me amused. I work out on a regular basis and for the next few years, I plan to learn more about retirement living while at our condo in Fort Myers."

Matheson Chiropractic Clinic

Front Desk - Janet

Hi, I’m Janet. You might notice some resemblance to Cindy, since I am her youngest sister, so this has really become a family affair.. You’ll find me behind the front desk most of the time, but my other responsibilities include the sEMG (scan) & the Gait scan technology for custom fitted orthotics. I know only too well, the health benefits of regular chiropractic care, since I’ve been a patient of Dr. David’s since I was 8 years old. I truly believe that regular chiropractic care helps prevent most spinal related / nervous system problems and keeps us as living at our true potential.

I have 3 beautiful boys and I’ve entrusted David with their chiropractic adjustments as well, since they were newborns, just days old.

For a change of pace, I also work part time at Home Hardware. I must love helping people, because both positions are very fulfilling to me. I also enjoy tackling things around my house.

I was born and raised here in Sarnia and feel that we are truly blessed to live in such a wonderful city. We seem to take Sarnia for granted, forgetting how beautiful the city really is and the many things it has to offer. Like the beaches . . . . . I love the beach!!. I also share the love of golf and try to get out as much as I can.

Be well. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Tanya

Front Desk - Tanya

We think we’ve finally found the right person to share the front desk load with Janet (so she doesn’t get burned out).  This lady will assist our patients in all areas, except the adjustive procedure itself.  She will be Dr. David’s travel arm & will report to him any & all concerns re: extraneous issues, from orthotics to X-ray reports & examination results.  Ask her anything – she’s there to make your visit to our office as memorable as possible.

“Hi, I’m Tanya.  I’m the newest face at the front desk.  Chiropractic care is new to me but I’m really enjoying the learning process and hopefully sooner than later, I’ll be a pro!  I’m happily married and I have two beautiful children who are 1 and 3 years of age.  I was born and raised in Sarnia and am excited to be raising my family here as well.  When I’m not at work or chasing after my kids, I enjoy reading, watching movies, ballroom dancing, and although I’m not a great cook I do enjoy eating!

I am really excited to be a part of the team at Matheson Chiropractic & Wellness Centre, and I really look forward to getting to know you in the New Year.”

Alyssa, Massage Therapist

Alyssa Martin, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Hi, I’m Alyssa, the newest addition to the team at Matheson Chiropractic & Wellness.

I have been practicing since June 2009, after graduating with honors from the three year Massage Therapy program at Lambton College. During my three years there, I completed a four-part Cadaver Workshop at the University of Western, in order to have a better understanding of the anatomy of the human body.

I was also certified in Therapeutic Ultrasound which is used in conjunction with massage therapy for rehabilitative purposes and as well, successfully completed training in CPR/AED level HCP at the Canadian Red Cross in Sarnia. Throughout my education, I had placements at Petrolia Hospital on the chronic care floor in the palliative care unit, and at Bridgeview Public School, working with children with various developmental disabilities, the deaf and blind, as well as the medically fragile. I successfully completed the provincial registration exams which affords me the designation of Registered Massage Therapist.

My main focus is to assist people who suffer from chronic conditions in maintaining their strength and flexibility, while enhancing their quality of life. Another focal point of my practice will be to aid in stress management.

Most of my free time these days, is spent going for walks with my dog or exercising, plus spending time with family & friends. I also enjoy fishing, baking and watching hockey.

Dr. David Asks some important questions of interest to Sarnia-Point Edward residents - Chiropractor Sarnia-Point Edward Dr. David Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Sarnia-Point Edward folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
What does a chiropractic adjustment do?
Chiropractic adjustments give your spine a little "nudge" at the right place, right time and the right direction so your body can use that energy to "right" itself. With a schedule of consistent chiropractic visits, a new, healthier spinal pattern emerges.
